As a proud supplier of furniture and branded interiors for over 30 years, we have always been passionate about providing beautiful workspaces for our clients.

In more recent years, this passion has been coupled with a focus on sustainable practices in how we work. Considerations such as:

What happens to the waste we produce?

What happens to unwanted furniture?

What role do we play in the overall sustainability of our supply chain?

Our act initiative refers to our three key areas of focus within our business designed to leave a positive legacy on the environment and communities we live and work in.

PROVIDING POSITIVE SOCIETAL IMPACTS THROUGH…

  • Brokering donations of redundant furniture to a network of charities.
  • Creating good quality, sustainable jobs for the local economy via our furniture recycling activities.
  • Partnering with local social enterprises, making sure our surplus resources are utilised to support their business.

PROMOTING A COMMERCIALLY EFFICIENT CIRCULAR ECONOMY

  • ‘Like new’ refurbishment and upcycling channels for our client’s used furniture that is in otherwise good condition.
  • Rebate proposals for used furniture of the highest quality that retains a resaleable market value.

PROMOTING A COMMERCIALLY EFFICIENT CIRCULAR ECONOMY

  • Providing a comprehensive, professional and traceable furniture removal and recycling service avoiding the need for any furniture to go to land fill.
  • Donating a proportion of all sales to tree planting organisations.

OUR CHARITY PARTNERSHIP

We are extremely proud to partner with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, aiding them to continue to support the Yorkshire dales landscape and local communities. The partnership between Interact and YDMT began in 2021, as we donated 0.5% of revenue from every job completed. The goal was to enable the planting of 2,025 trees by 2025. The success of our partnership and business growth resulted in this target being achieved and surpassed in 2023!

Following this success, in 2024 Interact became YDMT’s first ever Foundation Partner, providing invaluable unrestricted funding that is enabling the delivery of work across all of YDMT’s charitable aims, to support people, landscape and wildlife. We are proud to offer this flexible funding, allowing the charity the freedom to best use their experience, skills and knowledge to deliver the greatest possible impacts for the local communities.
